Suite 101 article

Before all of the hoopla around here I wrote my weekly article for Suite 101 and forgot to post about it here. Oops.

The Ultimate Lunch Time Soup.

This recipe for soup is one I use almost every week. I love a good hearty soup for lunch with crackers or something else. This one is packed with veggies and on weight watchers, it could easily be made to have very few points or even free if you did it right.

Now that school is out, I will have a lot of time to write. So, let me ask you, do you have any suggestions for Nutrition Articles? Is there something on nutrition you want to know? If you have any ideas let me know. I am open.

Ok, that soup looks amazing and as soon as I get my dinner started tonight I'm going to check it out.

As for articles.. I dunno, what kinda stuff to you write about? I'd be interested in more research about surgery, actually. I mean for afterwards.. when I loose all this weight I'm worried that I'm going to have loose skin (ew gross, I know - still a fact of life though) and if you felt like writing about that I'd be very interested. Even if there are non surgical ways to help prevent it I would LOVE to know those. ~laughs~ (And don't say don't gain the weight in the first place! Too late, already happened.. heh)

Maybe you've already written on any of these topics but this is what's interesting to me right now:
*foods that make you feel full
*Nutrition for the nursing mother (and mostly the nursing mother who needs to lose weight :)
*I also love learning about specific foods and groups and what they can do for your body. (ie, I read somewhere that Watermelon has more lycopene than tomatoes...or asparagus only have 4 calories per stalk. random stuff like that is interesting to me..and I remember it)

oh! and that soup looks SOOOO good!

That soup does look good!

I have to confess, though, that when I make vegetabely soups I sometimes like a to add a strong flavored salty meat in there too. Now that they finally have nitrite free sausages and hams, I'll sometimes throw a little of that in. But this one looks good enough to go all-veggy.

Thanks guys! The soup is soooooo good!
Crabby, I have a simple beans recipe that is great with bacon. Maybe I'll make it and post a picture of it.
Katieo, thank you for the suggestions on articles. I haven't done any of them so, I'll probably do some articles along these lines.
Rebecca, I am not sure what to do about the flabby skin thing. There are things you can eat that is good for your skin but, if I had a cure for flabby skin, I could probably become a millionaire.
