Soy Joy; really is nothing special.

Imagine this; a strip of extra firm tofu, dried fruit poked in it, then baked until hard and brown. Oh yum! Right? Wrong! These are pretty yucky. The only thing they have going for them is the fact that they don't taste like a vitamin too.
I am looking for a gluten free energy bar, with out a ton of sugar, won't rip my teeth out, artificial sweetener free, doesn't taste like a vitamin dipped in chocolate and that doesn't contain 900 calories. Oh, and tastes good. Do those exist? Maybe I'll have invent that. Soy Joy is so not it!

Ewww these sound horrible.
Maybe try a health food store that's close to you and ask someone what they recommend - I'm sure you'll find something there.

Well.. the worst is when they have that chemical after-taste, so at least that's not there!!!

Again, ew.

Thanks for the warning--I always fall for stuff like this. I want something healthy that tastes like a candy bar. But the only bars that taste remotely edible are the kind that are so nutritional bankrupt and full of sugar that you might as well have a snickers or something and at least enjoy it.

But if you find something great, let us know!

I just tried some bars form "eat well be well." Have you heard of that brand? They have something like 9 grams of fiber, 4 grams of protien, no sugar, etc.
Anyway, I choked down one. It tasted like apple cardboard. however, the next day I thought, eh. maybe it wasn't so bad. so i tried another one. they were still bad, but were growing on me. I went to their website to see abut maybe getting another box and they're out of business!
I guess they really did taste that bad.
I know they've got more sugar and fat than other bars, but Zoneperfect bars are my fav. choco PB! mmmmm.
