Now, I want to make it clear, I am in no way being paid for any endorsements on my blog. To be frank, no one has ever asked my to, but even so, I would only recommend things I would actually find useful myself.
BTW- if you have not discovered Google Alerts, you should. They are a fabulous way to learn about what is going on, on the internet, in topics that interest you. That is how I found this little online store.
It is called Eco-artware.com.
They use recycled stuff to make all kinds of possibly useful stuff. They have a bowls made out of vinyl records. They even have a bowl made out of phone cords. How they did that, I do not know.
Some of the stuff is a bit pricey, but other stuff looks more cheaply priced like the jewelery.
Another neato thing is the site has a craft area that shows you how make use of items that would have possibly been trash otherwise. This brings me to my list of 50 thing I am doing for the environment. My good friend Kathy pointed out to me that I have use less paper towels twice on my list so, I am switching one of those out for, "Making something useful out of trash." Trash meaning- anything I would have thrown away or put in the recycling bin. This is pretty general but, I am being general to allow for some creativity.

You may be too young to remember those hats made from pieces of beer cans all knitted together with yarn.
My father owned one. He would wear it just to embarrass us.
Be very, very careful over at your cute little eco-store. It sounds innocent enough, but "recycling" can get very, very scary.
Ouch, Samantha! You mean people use Google Alert for things other than their own name! I really must break this "me, me, me" cycle I'm in.
I'm game to visit the eco-store! I'm an intrepid little recycler so hints are always appreciated.
Notice how many sentences started with"I"? Says it all!
